Heirloom and Speciality Tomatoes

Our tomato seminars are conducted by "Tomato King" Steve Goto.  He has twenty years experience growing Hybrid and Heirloom tomato varieties.  Steve conducts trials up and down the state of California. He lectures from his own experiences on the best practices of growing tomatoes organiclly.  Each session is a basic tomato 101 class and an introduction to Heirloom tomatos and varieties.  Ask Steve on his experiences on how to prepare soil, watering, fertilizing, pruning, insects and diseases.  Steve's seminars are always different due to the fact that he is always incorporation new products and materials into the gardening lecture.

Upcoming Events

August and September
Join us in the months of August and September for our annual tomato tasting. We have great fun preparing 40 to 80 or maybe 100 varieties of heirloom and specialty tomatoes for you to enjoy for free at a local garden center.  April makes her famous 40 variety salsa and we will light you up with a 15 variety hot pepper tasting.

Also look for the cool season tomato seminars around the same time.  Learn which varieties grow well in cooler temperatures, less sunlight and higher humidity.   Tomatoes in November, December or January??? come to one of the seminars.
